Over the past two decades, Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company, better known as DPZ, has completed more neighborhood-based urban designs than any other firm in the country-- over 250 in all. The recipient of numerous awards, including two National AIA Awards and two Governor’s Urban Design Awards for Excellence, DPZ is widely recognized as the nation’s leading proponent of New Urban design. Co-founders of the Congress for New Urbanism, the firm’s principals have remained in the forefront of this movement dedicated to the promotion of healthy alternatives to suburban sprawl.
